Bhubaneswar: The Utkal University Teachers’ Association (UUTA), in partnership with the All Odisha University Teachers’ Association (AOUTA), organized a significant conference titled ‘Odisha’s Higher Education Landscape 2036: Challenges, Opportunities, and Strategic Interventions’ at the PG Council Hall of Utkal University on Sunday.
This event gathered educators, policymakers, and academic leaders to evaluate the present condition of higher education in Odisha and to create a roadmap for the future.
Discussions during the conference emphasized the implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the importance of university-industry collaborations, the establishment of startup incubation centers, and the encouragement of research and innovation.
Speakers underscored the critical need for seed funding to bolster faculty-led research initiatives, with the goal of improving Odisha’s ranking in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF).
